Depending on who you ask, I’m a retired technical writer, a husband and father, a singer, a teacher, a townie, a volleyball player, a micro-scale apple grower, a deep-blue Democrat, an earnest and funny guy. They’re all right.
If you search for me on the Web I’ll most often come up in connection with STC, so I should just mention that professionally, I am a Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication, a former Director at Large of the Society, a past president of the New England chapter, and chair of the first STC Certification Commission.
I was born and raised in Massachusetts, but thanks to my mother I don’t have the accent. To answer the question “have you lived there all your life?” I can only give the old Yankee answer: not yet.
